Teagan Netten, Conservation Science Coordinator, Ontario Nature, presents the story of the Ontario Reptile and Amphibian Atlas and key findings of the 10-year community science project.
Teagan joined Ontario Nature in April 2022, after finishing her B.Sc. in conservation biology and evolutionary anthropology at the University of Toronto. During her degree, she conducted a research project on red-backed salamanders. She grew up spending lots of time in nature, but only discovered her passion for studying reptiles and amphibians at university. She has experience working in the parks sector, including bat and reptile monitoring, habitat restoration, and science communication.
