Spring Birding at Rondeau Provincial Park (Members Only)

Low light adult male Yellow Warbler taking a break

Saturday, May 9 @ 6:30 am 4:30 pm

May is migration season and a great time to visit Rondeau. We will visit various spots in the park such as Warbler’s Way, Marsh Trail, Bennett Road, and Tulip Tree Trail to look for migrating birds. There are washroom facilities at various locations throughout the park.

Bring a bagged lunch and drinks, as there will be limited opportunities to buy supplies during the outing. We will plan to eat lunch at the Visitors’ Centre. Dress for the weather, and bring binoculars, spotting scopes, and cameras as desired. The terrain is mostly flat, well-packed dirt or paved. There could be some sand if we visit a beach access.

The cost of the trip is $50 for the coach rental and park entry, after a subsidy from Nature London. Payment is due at the time of registration. Refunds will be offered up to one week before the trip. If the trip is full, email the leader to go on a waiting list.

Directions: Meet at the plaza at 765 Exeter Road (at Wellington Road) at 6:15 am for a prompt 6:30 departure. We will leave Rondeau at 3 pm in order to return to the plaza by 4:30 pm.
