(Members Only) Scenic Winter Hike in Medway Heritage Forest

• Bring a mask and hand sanitizer.

This is the most beautiful time of year in Medway Heritage Forest, which is also well populated with wildlife, even in the winter. If conditions are good with a fresh snowfall, we’ll have tracks to identify to find out what lives in this habitat. The Medway Creek may still be frozen providing many clues on its surface as to the wildlife that crosses over its ice, taking advantage of this passageway in the winter. Bring binoculars, camera, trekking poles and ice cleats to help with travelling on icy packed down trails. The grade is fairly level on this trail. Directions: Meet on Gainsborough Road, east of Sherwood Forest Mall, at the end, where it meets Whiteacres Dr. This is one entrance to Medway Heritage Forest. Parking is free on the north side of the street. PLEASE NOTE: ADVANCED REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. REGISTRATIONS ARE CUT OFF 24 HOURS BEFORE THE START TIME OF THE EVENT.
