Birds typically found here include: robins, sparrows, goldfinches, downy and red bellied wood peckers, nuthatches great blue herons, mallards, wood ducks, chickadees, cardinals, red-tailed hawk and turkey vultures. We may also see a beaver, muskrat or some turtles.

Hike a fairly easy trail around the Dorchester Mill Pond. We will be looking for historical mill ruins along with any early spring migrants, plants, flowers and animals.

On this morning hike, we'll search for signs of spring in the open fields, woodland, and along the Thames River. There's so much beauty in this Park given the various habitats and inhabitants. Recommended items to bring are binoculars, hiking boots, trekking poles, and a camera.
