This is a major step toward modernizing and simplifying the club’s computerized and manual systems. Wild Apricot will save many volunteer hours, both clerical and skilled technical. It will also save members’ time. Here are some implications:
- Wild Apricot will replace the membership database and the current website.
- Members will be encouraged to renew online.
- Paper handling, storage, and mailing will be reduced.
- Online payments will use a service other than PayPal.
- New payment options will be introduced.
- Cheques will still be accepted.
- A member will use their email address and personal password to access member-only content and register for member-only events.
- A member will access and update their online profile (mailing addresses and family members’ details).
Many details remain to be settled, including:
- Donations
- Members without email addresses
- Selling memberships online at meetings and events

There will be a series of in-person and virtual information sessions to answer questions and receive feedback.
