Join 3 Western Integrated Science students on a walk through Kilally Meadows.
We’ll dive into scientific topics connecting to Western University’s curricula while enjoying the scenic landscape.
Dress warmly, the hike will be around 4km.
We will meet at the end of Windermere Road, east of Adelaide Street North. Parking is available at the end of the dead end road past Waltzing Weasel, Tin Cup and the baseball diamond.
About the Students
The students are completing a community engaged learning course called Science in the Community.
As part of the course, they have to partner with a community organization and complete a project.
They have partnered with Nature London and their project is to learn about Kilally Meadows, research scientific topics (forest succession, natural noise reduction, floodplains, benefits of natural urban areas), then present that information to our members on a hike.
Please do not attend if you feel unwell.
Unless stated otherwise, Nature London events are for members only.
Indoor Events and Birding Wing Events are held at the London Civic Garden Complex, unless indicated otherwise.
If attending an Outdoor Event, please review these important guidelines.
Most events require online registration. Each individual must register separately for outdoor events.
Virtual events only require a single registration per household.
For assistance, see the Job Aid on Registering and Unregistering for Events.
For instructions on how to use the Events Calendar, please review the introduction.
